Most common opinions of suicide I have trouble respecting. People either sympathize with the suicidal individual, think they are pussies taking the easy way out, or, in the case of dying for a cause, either cowards (if they hurt innocents) or courageous heroes (if they saved innocents). All of these opinions are crap, and most anyone who thinks these things needs to be educated. First of all, someone killing themselves because they are depressed shouldn't warrant sympathy or disrespect as if they are taking the "easy way out". For starters, there's nothing to sympathize with, because the dead don't suffer, and why feel sorry for an inanimate object (corpses are just objects)? If anything, you should be happy for the fuckers! They're not miserable any more! You have one person who's miserable, and then that person dies. Now you have no miserable people. You do the math. Then, of course, someone might just call this person a pussy. In a sense, they were. Depression is a weakness in which you can't handle reality. Most people's reasons for being depressed are crap, especially in modern industrial societies. In fact, there's more depression in urban areas compared to rural areas. Modern humans are pampered little babies, yet they still bitch and moan, which is why you get people depressed because they're fat slobs (anorexia/bulimia nervosa, etc.) when they could be some starving fuck in some third world country. We got it real good, yet still people are whiny little slobs who find any old reason to feel sorry for themselves. Anyway, that part of depression makes you a wuss, but the killing yourself part doesn't. In fact, someone who is depressed and doesn't kill themselves is the real pussy. I mean it! If you are miserable, and there's no hope for you getting better, or at least the contingency of you enjoying your worthless life is such a low probability that it's too much of a risk waiting for happiness, then why haven't you killed your worthless self yet? I know why: because you're a fucking pussy! As far as I'm concerned, life works for me. It forced me to be born; it got what it wanted, now it's my turn: give me my fucking happiness. And I am happy; life is great, because I get to be here. I make life treat me good, because life is my bitch, and I will abuse her accordingly. But if this bitch called life isn't serving my interests, then I'm going to drag her by her tits and throw her out in the cold to die. Or, in a non-metaphoric sense, I will kill myself. But I don't think of it as killing myself, I think of it as firing an incompetent employee. Life works for me, and it better do its job of making me want to keep it around. If it fails, and can never do its job because it is not qualified, it is fired, and I'm outta here. If you're the boss, life is your employee, and it damn well better do its job. But if you're miserable, life is shitting all over you, and if you don't fire that worthless employee, you are a fucking push over, taking it up the ass by life. You are life's bitch, and are no longer the boss of anything. So, here's how I see it: people who are hopelessly miserable and don't kill themselves are pussies, but those who are happy but do kill themselves… well, they're fucking stupid, which leads me to the other half of suicidal behavior. First of all there seems to be hypocrisy of people labeling those who die for a cause as cowards if they didn't like the person sacrificing themselves, but if they did like them, all of a sudden the suicidal individual is a god damn hero with lots of courage. Cowardice is just timidity and fear that controls you, and killing innocents (a common reason for labeling someone a coward) has nothing to do with fear or timidity. It is courageous for the same reasons that dying to instead save those innocents is courageous, because the fear of death often instills much timidity. And what the hell do innocent lives have to do with anything? If you are killing something out of some fanatical hatred, then you couldn't possibly believe the people you are killing are innocent. Every one is guilty according to someone else. All you have to do is ask enough people. That's the great thing about genetic variety of the human species: everything imaginable has been done, and everyone is loved by one person and hated by another somewhere at the same time, because opinions are infinite (and also cheap and easy to make up). So innocence is relative, meaningless crap. So why should we cheapen a good, solid word like "coward" by mixing it with having anything to do with innocence? Now there's the idea that those who sacrifice themselves for a cause that just so happens to be popular are heroes. Well, they may have saved people, they are probably even courageous, because they deliberately risked death. However, they are not as courageous as villainous attackers who sacrifice themselves, because the villains won't get welcoming cheers if they succeed and be labeled heroes, so there's some social risk involved as well, making it even more daring. So heroes may have balls, but they sure as fuck don't have any brains! Who dies for a cause when they actually have something to lose, like an enjoyable life? If you aren't sure you are going to die when you expedite some so called "heroic" activity, then it's not so bad. Your risk actually might benefit you, because you'll get some meager recognition for your little deed if you survive, if you are actually insecure enough to really need that recognition. But if you know you're going to die? Not very bright at making any gains in this world, are you? You'd run a horrible business, because you can't understand what a risk to reward ratio is. You'd be outta business before you could even invest your money. If the risk is greater than the reward, you shouldn't fucking risk it, it's just not business smarts. And when you kill yourself, do you know what the risk is? Everything! And the gains are zero. You're fucking stupid. You may think the profit of your heroic deed is actual, genuine profit, but it's not, because you don't get to enjoy that profit. Dead people don't enjoy profit. You don't get to see the people your saving be safe for very long, 'cause you die afterward. Is that pitiful moment where you realized you've saved someone, but then immediately die afterward, really worth it? How myopic! That's like a drug addict saying that their temporary little high is worth throwing their life away to enslave themselves to some shitty chemical. The gains are so temporary, they are meaningless. Sacrificial heroes are no better than dirty, myopic, drug addicted scum. Actually, heroes are worse, because their little moral "high" is even shorter. So I think you get the idea. Miserable, wretched people who are still breathing my oxygen on my planet are life's bitches. They are miserable because they let themselves be miserable. On the flip side of the coin, generally happy people who kill themselves for a cause are myopic cretins who don't understand anything outside of the immediate. I guess the concept of the future is too complex for their pea-brains to comprehend. Not that I'm complaining, however; let these stupid people kill themselves to get them out of the gene pool that they don't belong in in the first place, and let miserable, depressed whiners stick around so that I can have a good laugh at their feeble existence. I try to stay optimistic, and look on the bright side of these human flaws; and I suppose that is one of the reasons I will never kill myself: there's too much stupidity and human misery to enjoy and laugh at to want to leave this place anytime soon. |
