The "leaves" on this "tree" are any metal objects I could get my hands on at the time that happened to either be sharp, or capable of being sharpened. I have a little rule that, for any of my metal sculptures, there must be gratuitous amounts of dangerously sharp metal objects protruding from them. This sculpture is the epitome of that rule, with more sharp protrusions than I care to count.
This tree doesn't just look neat-o, it can be used for special occasions as a Christmas tree (for those who celebrate such things). One would have little trouble getting ornaments to stick to this tree, just impale them on the end of any given branch. This tree also doubles as a mace, just grab it by its base and it's clobberin' time. This tree can also cut, grind, chop, and slash, making it a superior kitchen utensil. If only real trees were this useful (and they're not). Move over mother nature, here I come. I deserve the monopoly over Earthly ecosystemic environments.
